Stan "The Man" Harrington, Award winning Filmmaker, and now the Author of the Must Have manual to Guerrilla Filmmaking, "A Guerilla in the Midst" will be Our highly honored Opening Speaker, August 8, 2008 Hotel Menage, in Anaheim, CA.
Indie Fest USA an annual International Film Festival held in Anaheim California August 8th thru August 15th, 2008, is extremely lucky to get this Great Filmmaker, and educator to come and share his secrets with Filmmakers from around the world.
INDIE FEST USA International Film Festival Offers the exciting opportunity to meet the Filmmakers, Directors, Producers, Cinematographers and Celebrities eager to share with you their work and provide an exclusive inside look at the motion picture industry through the presentation of an annual, multi-day festival in which independent films submitted by filmmakers throughout the world are publicly exhibited at world famous venues and locations.
Born in Melbourne, Australia to Greek immigrant parents, Stan moved in 1994 to the US to pursue a career in the theatrical arts. Since 1996, from his artistic home at the Stella Adler Theater, Stan went on to become a prolific producer, writer and director of theatre. In 2003 he created Adler After Dark, which offers new writers rent free space*.
In 2005, Stan's first feature, "Bred in the Bone", shot for a mere $5,000, won Best in Show, Best Actress and Best Screenplay at the Action On Film Festival: and Best Feature at the FAIF Fest.
In 2006 he was invited to the NAB Conference in Las Vegas to instruct on Guerilla Filmmaking and he has continued to speak at that conference as well as many others including The Self Employment In The Arts Conference (Chicago, Los Angeles) and Women In Film (Hollywood).
To date, his most recent feature film, "The Craving Heart", has amassed 23 nominations and 10 wins.

In 2007, his book, "A Guerilla In the Midst" was published by The Sundance Media Group and released at the NAB Conference in April, 2007. Stan also created the International Guerilla Filmmaker database (http://igfdb.com/) as a free service to other Guerilla Filmmakers and to create a hub for Filmmakers and festivals.
